Our Team Members
Carol Li - President
“Hi There! I joined this club in Feb 2018. This is a fabulous group with a supportive and positive attitude all the time. As a data scientist, part of my job is to influence my clients to trust my big data analysis and results. This club has definitely taught me to use good body language and vocal variety to communicate so that to influence others! My another goal is to improve my leadership skills. The role rotation of each meeting has given me the opportunity to practice being a leader!”
Paul Hoefling - VP Education
“I joined Rhetoracles in 1991. Whenever I had to give a presentation at work or school, I was always shaking in my boots. With the learning, practice, and support I've received from Toastmasters, I'm no longer nervous about presentations. What keeps me coming back is the great variety of people we have in this club - there's always something new to learn about, and it's a lot of FUN!”
Dennis Armstrong - VP Membership
“A founding member. I find the mental stimulation from this club to be invigorating.”
Iskender Suleimanov - VP Public Relations
“I joined Toastmasters because I wanted to advance my public speaking skills so I can share my thoughts and my vision effectively among my professional and personal network.”
Dottie Delaney - Secretary & Treasurer
“I joined Rhetoracles in 1996 as I was preparing for the position of President of my Secretarial Association and knew I'd have to get those butterflies in my stomach to "fly in formation" in order for me to speak at my Association's monthly meetings without fainting! I have held many Officer positions in Rhetoracles and continue to learn and laugh at our Tuesday evening meetings! I have been District 2 Secretary and enjoy attending the District's Spring and Fall Conferences. I'm retired and enjoy traveling and crafts. I have formed many strong friendships with fellow club members over the years and continue to encourage new members.”
Brian Dy - Sergeant at Arms
"I joined Toastmasters back in the summer of 2019. I've always considered myself to be a shy and introverted person (still am to some degree). I've never been good at public speaking and I wanted to change that. Joining toastmasters allowed me to learn about the things the i was doing right as well as the the things that I was doing wrong. In short, if you want to improve your ability to speak and learn the ropes of proper body mechanics when giving a presentation, then check out our Toastmasters group"
